Anna Illés graduated in 1988 from the Academy of Fine Arts, specializing in printmaking. She regularly participates in exhibitions, illustrates, and takes part in artist residencies.
Her works strive to evoke the subconscious. Internal events and visions are complemented by reinterpreted motifs from ancient cultures. Signs, bodies, and fragments of personal objects blend into her compositions, revealing a distinctive and unique visual world. Alongside traditional techniques such as screen printing and pen drawing, she incorporates unusual materials into her creative process.
The exhibition at the Petőfi Literary Museum presents a selection of both her older and more recent works.
