The Petőfi Museum of Literature’s Archive of Manuscripts is one of the country’s largest collections of literary documents. Its field of interest covers 19th to 21st-century Hungarian literature, including literature written in Hungarian by writers living beyond the country’s borders or in emigration. It is an indispensible resource for researchers of literary studies, as well as media and theatre history. At the same time it provides the basis for specialized education.
