The Scenes of the Tragedy 1964/2014
The exhibition intends to commemorate Imre Madách on the 150th anniversary of his death by restaging a Madách literary and art exhibition held 50 years ago. The idea is rooted in Madách’s literary approach of searching and reflecting on the past, while its implementation relies on the fortunately still existing graphic material of the former exhibition. The literary tableaux of the latter are presented merely as recollection in a stylized manner, while the biography of Imre Madách is shown using modern digital means.
